Description: Airfield power electrical connectors are designed to connect the disconnection circuits of cable power units with the on-board network for launching aircraft.
The connector consists of a plug installed on board the aircraft and a socket connected to the ground airfield power unit.
The connectors have a reliable fixation of the articulated position by the connector device. Such locking devices must withstand a force applied along the connector axis of less than 490N. The insulation between the contacts, between the contacts and the metal housing of the connector must withstand, without breakdown and surface overlap, a test voltage of 1000 V of the amplitude value of the alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Requirements for electrical parameters:
Contact resistance to the socket-pin contact, not more than 0.01 MΩ
Contacts (pin-socket) are made of copper alloys; insulators - press material; housings, handles, clamps, bushings - aluminum alloy; covers, caps - a mixture of rubber. Socket sockets are covered with silver; plug pins - nickel; housings, bushings, clamps, handles - anodized oxidation. The cables are connected by soldering.
The insulation resistance between the contacts, between the contacts and the metal housing of the connector under normal conditions must be at least 20 MΩ.
Connector contacts must withstand the passage of current for 2 hours at the limit values. Short-term (up to 5 minutes) overload on contacts up to 100% is allowed.
The overheating temperature of the contacts under normal current loads should not exceed 90C (for SHRAP-500 and SHRAP-800-10) and 70C for all other connectors.
The mass of connector parts should not exceed + - 5%.
Parts of connectors of the same nominal value must be interchangeable
